I am/will also be in that queue for Stockport.. I think they are a newly accredited centre as when the Battery Module recall started a member from the NW had to go to Exeter.. (well the car did) Absolute farce.
Hopefully the local dealer can do the diagnostics and only if it needs battery updates does it go to a specialist. But then this is VW and they haven't thought through many of the other issues like OTA updates, 12V batteries etc..
Unfortunately, I spoke to Inchcape (Wirral) and they have told me it has to go to Stockport and that they are not taking anymore bookings due to Stockport being overloaded. (or words to that effect)

This is the Ausie site, but it's a global database. Insert your VIN number and it will let you know

Thanks Splitty! Yep, I’m in line for the battery check and the 3.0 to 3.2 update.

Thanks for the link. I just checked mine and it says 93P7 from 01/09/2022 (replace battery module) is still outstanding. I had the car at the dealership for the new 12V battery and software update to 2.4 at the end of last year. Does this mean they did not replace my 12V battery? Or is this a different type of recall?

This is for a Traction/HV battery check up and possible repair.

Completely different.
This is a recall related to the main high voltage battery.
It was posted for a small number of cars in September 2022 and they needed a module replacing. As of two days ago it seems to have been applied to many more cars, however, I understand (from user posts the ID Facebook group) the recall notice has also changed such that it is a check of the battery, then module replacement if required, rather than a definite replacement being scheduled.

Hi, I have been getting this message and had been hitting the same problem, the install button being greyed out. It seems the problem is caused by the windows needing recalibrated, see here,

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2892&p=39140#p39140

I followed the instructions and was able to do the upgrade, however atm my system software version remains at 3.0.0 as it was before I did the update. Still to take it out on the road later today so will see if it has made a difference as indicated in the blurb in the message that was initially coming up on the screen, which you have in your post.

Took the car out after the update, didn't notice any short jolt but the car was driving OK. I found a post on another forum which indicated that this was a minor update and does not affect the software version number, so all is as it should be.

Also there were some drivers who noticed a very soft jolt and others who like me didn't notice anything, so all is well it would seem.

Just have to wait on the next full update from version 3.0.0

I booked my 3.2 update during that brief window on April 26th when it was published as available to book on the VW Website - I was given an appointment for May 23rd. I fully expected the dealer (Group 1 Peterborough) to contact me and cancel the booking within a couple of days as has happened to others. However I heard nothing so I thought I'd call them today and they said "No we can't do the software update as the battery recall needs to be done at the same time, and we can't do that here, you need to contact Vindis Cambridge". I'm not at all surprised at the cancellation but would have expected them to contact me rather than the other way round. I suppose I saved myself the bother of going to Group 1 on the 23rd only for them to tell me then!

So I'm booked in at Vindis Cambridge for September 4th (!) and they said they will need the car for up to 4 days.

I did the same with Hawco in Inverness.
Now all confirmed for Monday 22nd May along with servicing at two years old.
Loaner agreed whilst I'm on holiday near there - saves seperate and expensive journeys.

It seems Vindis are looking at this different to other dealers and inconveniencing their customers. I rang my local dealer “Cooke’s of Fakenham” to book mine in at the beginning of April. They said that I would have to drive to Cambridge, they would need the car for a minimum of 3 days and they would provide a loaner. Cambridge is about an hours drive and 45 miles away. Booked me in for October 4th. (Which is after you despite booking earlier, so I suspect there have been a few cancellations due to this policy.)

I decided to try another dealer. Their approach was to get the car in for a SW update and check the battery. Then if the Battery needs work (and not every car will), it will go to a battery centre. Booked in for June 28th.

The dealers seem so inconsistent - Group 1 (Peterborough) and Vindis told me that both recalls have to be done at the same time and they couldn't just do the 3.2 update.

Anyone else in the Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire or Norfolk areas with a different experience.

My experience with Johnson's in Liverpool was different again - they have booked me in for the software update in July but said they couldn't do the battery check/recall unless I took the car to Solihull, so have recommended I book the car in for that with another dealer chain after the software update is done.
The recall for the battery work being on the car still, I'm hoping they'll do the check anyway when they do the update if they're more knowledgeable about the job by then. If it gets done later I don't see that as a big problem. I figure if I have a degrading cell that needs replacing, it's more likely to be picked up if the check is done later.

Mine was supposed to be in yesterday and today but I got a call on Monday afternoon to say they didn't want to do it. Re-scheduled for 21st June now will have to wait and see.

With regards to some of the incosistency, potentially, the dealers are required to deal with any recall activity when the car is in. As I understand it if a car leaves the dealership with an outstanding recall then it's "a mark against the dealer". That may be being taken strictly by some dealers where they feel if they can't do the battery recall?

I can't comment on the older versions as I picked up my car (21 Pro S) beginning of May, but I asked the dealer to update it to the latest version and they complied, I have 3.2.

It's got a its fair amount of bugs if I'm honest, for example I can't seem to understand which phone it picks up to start playing music every time me and my wife get in the car together.

But yeah I bought it from the VW Bury St Edmunds, might be a good one to try for owners from Cambridgeshire/Suffolk?

How much time they need for the 3.2 update and the battery check? On 2.4 update and 12v battery change they needed 2 days and the lend me another ID3.

It'll likely be the same again. My dealer wanted the car for two days for the battery check and (hopefully) 3.2 update.
