Auto Dipping headlights

Hello. I am new to the forum. I am writing about a UK vehicle.

I have a question about the auto-dipping headlights please.

I ordered my ID3 on 29th September 22 and took delivery on 10th May 2023. Come the winter, we have noticed that it does not have the auto-dipping function.

I contacted the helpline who initially said that it was part of the standard specification but hadn't been fitted to my vehicle. When I replied, essentially, "why not?", I was advised to contact my local dealer and ask them if it had been part of the specification when the order went in. I have reasons not to feel full confidence in my local dealer, so I am asking if anyone on this forum knows whether it should have been part of the car when ordered on 29/9/22.

I will, of course, also contact the helpline again.

What model ID3 did you order?

If you mean HBA you can order it from the car if your trim does not have it.
My Life trim did not so I purchased it.
Works great for what it is but no comparison to matrix headlights.
