what strategic move, Volkswagen shift to Tesla's charging standard signals a significant step towards standardisation in EV charging infrastructure.
the respective shift is set to commence by 2025. Who else know about this or add more to this information.?

"All future vehicles" "starting in 2025".

So, some way off!

By then, VW will have got the information it needs from the ID family, and will shift to producing electric-only Golfs, Polos, etc as it phases out ICE models?

I presume you are talking about the adoption in the US of NACS. In Europe it is only going to be CCS. It is old news I am afraid.

As gailjon says this is entirely non applicable to Europe. It's a US only thing. In Europe including the UK, everything is already (and will remain) standardised on CCS.
ID.3 Family Pro Performance (Jan 22). Also an ID.4 Max. Ohme Home Pro charger.

indeed was an old news but yes not applicable there in Europe.
