They are basically the same car underneath. I prefer the look of the ID3, but that's personal preference. I'd suggest having a look at new versions of both and see which you prefer. Also see what specs there are available and what you want. The packs have different combinations of things, Borns don't get matrix lights at all, but I think they might all get progressive steering. I've seen some say the software is glitchier on Borns but that might just be car specific.
Also worth saying, I know having your car off the road is annoying, but once it's done, that just means you have some fresh battery cells for no cost, it doesn't mean something else is going to go wrong!

Drove both before choosing the ID.3 mostly because on the Cupra the Software is worse and it's much noisier then the ID.

I find the suspension on the ID3 to be more compliant - softer. The Born seems to be aimed at more “sporty” driving.

Is it the infotain system, sat nav you are referring to ?

Can't quite understand why the born should be noisier,?

Sorry I wrote a bit weird.
The infotainment feels worse compared to the ID.3

The noise I am referring to is driving sounds, when I was driving 130(km) in the Cupra there was much mire wind noise.

I've been thinking about this a bit as I was originally going to go for the Born (mainly because it reviewed slightly better tbh) but just missed out on an in-stock car. After going for the ID I've never regretted it as I really do prefer the looks now that I've seen them both more closely over the last few weeks. Mine is on 3.7 software and is actually pretty good, no real complaints there (seems like a some issues with older ones).

I've not exactly had it long and no experience of a Born other than seeing them from a distance but I've not really seen anything which would make me go for a Born if I were to go back and do it again.

Think we are going to wait until we get ours back ! Battery should be . 8 year warranty.

Looking there's pros and cons to both . Extra options required on both cars to get to our 1st edition spec !

Thanks guys .

Depreciation is also a factor
