Breakdown recovery
With our car coming up to end of main warranty, we've been wading through reviews and other information about Breakdown Recovery services. There's a recent Which? report which is helpful, but I'm wary of its ratings for some companies as sample sizes weren't always large. Fairly late on, I noticed something which really is important: some companies won't respond / pay for dealing with wheel or tyre issues "where a serviceable spare is not carried". Having taken that into account, we went with GEM. Not the cheapest, but seemed to be best for what we wanted.
