Recently been using a iD3 and its been great but, not able to charge over 11kW at all. this typically adds about 40miles per hour of charging. this is getting slow, and wastes soo much of my time. I got a standard, what I think is a type 2 cable. this leaves the 2 pins in the bottom free in the charge port of the car. could anyone charge over 11kV?

You can charge at much higher speeds using a DC charger. For older models, the top speed would typically be 125kW under optimal conditions.

DC chargers require you to uncover the 2 pins. They all use their own cable, not your cable.

On an AC charger, you will be limited to 11kW no matter what cable you use, as that's the limit of the on-board AC to DC converter.

You'll only get even 11kW AC on a 3-phase supply, so this is perhaps not at home?
For a usual charge from 20% to 80% that's 3 hours, which would be a long time to be sitting around, unless you are at work perhaps?
But only 20 minutes if you find a DC 100kW charger, which is about time for the loo and perhaps a coffee, or a phone call or something.

I can't work out what you actually do and therefore understand your charging regime?
