Hi all, about to pick up my first EV next week, a 2021 Pro Performance Family, very excited!
It comes on 19" Andoya alloys which I really didn't want as I'm not at all fussed about looks and would rather a softer ride and a cheaper car as I went a bit above my intended budget on this one! If anyone near Cambridge is up for swapping their 18" alloys or even steels for my Andoyas with cash my way then let me know.
One quick question too, I don't have any USB-C to USB-C cables so will have to buy one for this car. Do I need to put any thought into this or will anything do? The Leon I've just sold was unbelievably fussy and of the 8 or 9 cables I have in the house, literally only 1 allowed android auto to work consistently.
Swapping my 19" alloys for steels
Never had a problem with USB cables and my memory sticks or iPhone. All I would say is that try to get angled connectors on the cables. Mine are the normal straight type but I worry that at some stage I will snap them off when fiddling around in that compartment. Angled may well help avoid this, but then again it might never happen.

I searched high and low for USB C to USB cables as mysteriously they cost pretty much £10 everywhere I went which I refused to pay on principle. Oddly I have found that that some USB cables only work one way round...so before you buy more try plugging one of your existing cables in the other way round (I mean turn one plug the other way round, not the cable end to end) and see if it works then.
In any case why not just use Android Auto wirelessly ?
As far as the wheels, good luck with that. Sadly in this day and age I'd expect a buyer would want to see your ID and a V5C for and ID3 with your name on it !
Thanks for the replies both. I'll give the wireless android auto a go, I'd just rather cynically assumed it wouldn't work properly given my experience with the Leon.
For the wheel swap idea I'll put an ad up in the for sale section once I have the car so can get pics etc. I was envisaging a situation where I was meeting someone somewhere and we were literally swapping the wheels across one at a time. Like you say, bit of a long shot really.

We have a couple of different USB c cables and both work, I haven't had one fail.
Wireless Android auto has generally been reliable too. The only complication I've found is if you plug in to charge the phone and it connects to Android auto via the wire, then it can be slow to start up wirelessly on the next drive. I've also had the sound cut out just a few times, but that was to do with my wife's iPhone being connected too and there being a conflict.
Most people find the Wireless charging pad a but rubbish so you're likely to want a cable for that anyway.
