Supplied charge cable

Has anybody had a problem with the charge cable not working properly I’ve had to jiggle the cable about to get it in the right place to work properly, seems like a broken wire get the right angle and it works . I have a untethered zappi wether not ment for a lot of use I do know .vw wanted £140 to look at it and not until 13-1-25 car is 2 1/2 years old so possibly with in warranty

Untethered charge points are in daily use, so they're hardly "not meant for a lot of use". Carefully clean the contacts in the cable, the car, and the charge point (isolate the latter).

Cables sometimes fail and can be readily bought.

Thanks for takking the trouble to reply as I said i have to fiddle to get it to work its not the contacts there is a break in the cable somewhere i would expect a cable to last a bit longer than just over 2 years and i was a bit annoyed with vw attitude as well. There are a lot cables available but it still £150-200 for a new cable

So you have 3 variables:
1) car charge port
2) cable
3) zappi
Plenty of EVs about (each one comes with a cable) and no shortage of charge points.
It is easy to test different combinations, if all tests point to that cable, just get a new one (no amount of complaining will fix it if its past warranty).

I have already tested with another cable another car so I know its the cable as wrote i have fiddle about with the cable to get it to work I was not a complaing vw wanted £140 just to look at the cable and that was a 7 week wait before they could do i would also expect said cable to last bit more than 2 years its part of the car .
