Just had another update from dealer (2 in a calendar week!) . Status now 38....... anticipates 40 early next week.

What are status 38 and 40? Shipped?

I picked these up from somewhere on this forum

VW Status Codes

00 = Assigned to factory order no production week scheduled
10 = Factory ordered with production week scheduled
20 = Factory ordered production week confirmed
30 = In transit from factory
36 = Vehicle in port of exit – not released
38 = Vehicle in port of exit – released to shipping
39 = Vehicle on ship
40 = Vehicle arrival at UK port
60 = Dispatched to Dealer
70 = Vehicle arrived at Dealer

Awesome news! Have a feeling that our cars might be together. Same model and order placed days apart, same build week and same update on the same week Although I've not got the update for 38 yet.
When would the dealer organise a date for collection? Assuming it'll be when its on the way to the dealer or at the dealers?

If it helps, the tracker spreadsheet has a selection of those codes referenced, and uses the same terms. Status codes 10, 20, 30, 38, 40, 60 and 70 all have tracker columns, though obviously not all columns have dates in !

Dealer still waiting for a few cars from build week 46 to progress to code 30, but the number they are waiting for from week 46 has reduced in the last 10 days.

I hope this helps others waiting, if anyone gets code 30 from week 49 please post

I would have but he's off on Fridays and I think he does his weekly check on Mondays so I'll wait to see if I get an email on Monday morning. Fingers crossed it is though. He said 4-5 weeks for delivery but the boss guy over there said cars are arriving within 3 weeks mostly so might not be that long a wait

Note to self: refrain from picking up new car in the middle of a storm.

Storm Malik not withstanding, avoided fallen trees, two blocked roads and miscellaneous branches blowing around to get the car home unscathed. Winced at every twig/branch wondering what it was doing to the paintwork...

Oof, sorry to hear that @corals. Have updated the tracker. Honestly I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find myself in a similar position to you, once VW actually gets around to owning up that week 40 cars exist !

This a great source info, thank you. I ordered a family pro performance in moondust with Andoya alloys on 26/11/21 through NHS Fleet Solutions. Have never been given an order number but do have an estimated delivery time of early June. Never going to happen.

My current car is through Tusker and they are quoting 54 weeks for delivery of an ID3 if ordered today. I’ll be happy if I get mine before Xmas. Luckily I have my Audi A3 TFSIe till summer 2023 if needed.

Fingers cross for both you and Utumno, I think March was his cut off time. Would be nice if all his waiting and contribution to this community didn't ultimately end with nothing.

March was indeed our “cutoff” but I think we may have a solution that allows us to wait out VW’s crummy build processes without killing our mobility at home.

So please, advise all your dealerships that the tracker will continue past March !!

I still have expected build week 10 for a 15 August order (Family Pro Performance). I’m going to stop by my dealer tomorrow for a monthly update. Meanwhile OctopusEnergy are coming to fit an isolator switch 04 March so at least the home charger installation is making progress!

Our orders are only a few weeks apart, mine is week 49 as well and from Drive the Deal so assume the same dealer. They've been quite vague about updates, not really committing to anything re estimated timings, but looking at the spreadsheet we can't be far away now hopefully!

It will be arriving at Sheerness from Emden - one vessel docked there on Friday so you never know, if not they seem to arrive weekly at the moment.
