I've now got a confirmed build week of week 49 (6th - 12th Dec)

So going by rough calculations of 8 weeks after that, I'm looking at the end of Jan\beginning of Feb.

I don't mind the wait, nice to have an idea of what kind of time frame though.
They will shut down for around 3 week around Christmas, so I'd consider adding those on top, too.

And add a further 4 weeks for transport to the UK. So probably March.
Speaking of which, I believe mine is in "Port of Exit Released", which I believe translates to code 38. Dealer expecting this month, but I have no ideas what to expect for UK arrival.

I think that means it's actually been loaded onto a boat at Emden so I'd have said there's a fighting chance of you being in the vehicle before Christmas 😀

So only around 3.5 weeks from leaving factory to keys in hand, not bad!
By that schedule, I should have mine just before Christmas with some luck!

Wow! Very happy for you, although I can’t help but also be a little bit confused at why mine isn’t expected until 4-5 weeks after yours - despite being 1 week apart! 😅

Max vs Family Pro - more components (thus more chips)?

Finally got notification from the dealership today of a confirmed order number from VW.
I had given up and almost forgotten about it to be honest, what with more pressing/immediate issues going on.
Kind of takes the gloss of it all.

I’m wondering what the chances are of my 31428XXX order arriving before 30th April (when my existing car hits 3 years old).

So after calling the dealer it turns out our car is arriving on Tuesday and we should get it next Thursday or Friday.
Turns out original salesman is no longer with the dealership so that explains the non existent follow up.
Original order date was the end of June.
At least we are getting it in cold weather so looking forward to a range boost when it warms up!

Thanks, feel pretty lucky as was expecting January. I’d given up trying to find some kind of pattern on delivery times. Long ago decided to just wait and didn’t bother chasing up my dealer although she was pretty good at keeping in contact.

Your order number very similar to
Mine, ours not being built until W/C 04/04/22 so I wouldn’t hold your breath bud, unless it really ramps up after Xmas

Oh dear. My order is a Pro Performance Family with east Derry alloys standard colour and a heatpump (which I won’t be needing until next winter!). Fingers crossed for both of us then.

1st December order and expecting to be in it in July is really rather optimistic, I'm afraid - unless you have taken over a pre-existing order.

There are orders from August (2-3 months before yours) that have provisional build dates for 30th May, with the effect seemingly being a longer wait the later you ordered. So, unless there's breakthrough of any kind (in terms of semiconductors), I'd be expecting more like September/October.

Especially as it's looking likely that we'll be affected by some kind of COVID mutation in 2022.

I am gob smacked I have had the call from the dealership this morning to be told that my car has been completed and it is on the way to them and (and I did not push this agenda) feel a pre-Christmas delivery is achievable and I should keep my eye out for the VWFS email regarding the finance so that I can get it signed and sorted quickly! I really did not hold out much hope of my car being delivered in 2021 and to say I am excited is an understatement, I am hopeful that Utumno gets some equally good news very soon from his dealer and I hope that everyone with cars in or near production also get good news this side of Christmas as it does appear that VW are getting a move on with the MY22 cars to get them out of the way no doubt.

Fantastic news @Jimmyinit!! And thank you for the kind wishes - I’d love some good news! I’ll get the spreddy updated 😀

No hope for my Max order yet, just got my weekly update from the dealer and nothing new, still waiting for the car to be built. Definitely slipped into January at least

Spoke.to dealer today to add assistance pack plus
Was.told.its still status 10 no.build.date confirmed as.yet and he'll add the assistance pack once they have a build.date or it will require a new order kind of bummed.out not even a sniff of a build.week

Utumno...... the reason why your car will be behind mine is more than likely that your dealer sold out of its allocated build slots and mine possibly still had a build slot assigned. Either way its a crap system the way cars are allocated.

Oh doubtless, I was more highlighting what a difference it can make!
