Hi all,

As I await my car I am researching what I can..

A question, can the cabin be pre-conditioned, for example warmed up and defrosted be fore entry, or air conditioned on a warm day before entry ?

I know this feature is available on other EV's, but not found anything written about it on the ID.3.

I wondered if this can be set on say a timer on the touch screen inside the car.

If it can, knowing how shockingly bad VW apps are, I bet this can not be done from the app ?

You can preset it in the car for multiple timers on the screen, and also (if it is working) via the app.

Also worth noting that the temperature for pre-conditioning is configured separately to your normal climate control temperature, so you can ask the car to heat or cool more aggressively during pre-conditioning then ease off when you actually get in.

Can this be done without the car being plugged in?

Hi, yes you can download we connect id app and select we connect menu within the car. You can also see charge % etc.
