I contacted plan and they confirmed there is no build date, just March 2023 estimation. I will likely be cancelling today for a Cupra Born v2 that is confirmed to build next week. Mark if you still wanted the white one over blue let me know and I can tell them you want it.

Thanks Alex, by all means let me know if you do cancel, having come around to the Stonewased Blue I would be torn to be fair, although I do see a white one in and around Malmesbury and it does look good.

I've been looking at the Born before I had interest in the ID3 to be honest and was hopeful that the lease deals would have droped in price by now but they still seem quite a jump above what deal we had with Plan, I can see that 21st Century motors have one for September/October delivery but that's £436+vat and I think a V1 although I could be wrong on that.

I have a V2 Born quoted at £418 which is definitely more than the Plan deal, but I suppose I'm just too impatient to be strung along by VWs constantly moving delivery dates and I do like the look of the Born inside and out.

I'll be cancelling with Plan later today, I'm just waiting to hear back on a Life Pro Performance before I put my confirmation in on the Born in case it swings me one way or another! All being well I would have the Born at the end of next month / early October.

Hope it works out well for you! Was hoping the initial payment would be a fair bit lower as think I'm only paying 1 payment upfront with the max order and then 1200 fee. The born was always my preference over the ID.3 just never managed to get the numbers to work.

The cars2buy site is a bit of a tease as it's showing some overly good prices but they're definitely a pricing error.

Yeah to much of a jump for me, my id3 is the £1200 down and £360pm over 3 years. 8k a year. Which is why finding an alternative in the current climate such a challenge, my current pcp ends in October but the balloon is circa £7k so easy enough to pay it off then sell the car as and when, was equity in it the last time I checked so I’m not overly concerned.

I've cancelled my order with Plan and confirmed the Cupra so if anyone wants a white Tour itll be sat there.

Its more money than I'd like to pay but these are difficult times and it's a sellers market. Cars are a pleasure thing for me so I'm willing to stomach it for 3 years to when hopefully things have calmed down. If it was about A to B I'd have stuck with my Golf TDI for longer.

I'm just glad now I didn't pay that £1200 they were after a couple months ago.

Mine is reporting 03/23 too now... Not a murmur from our friends at Plan Cars either - I just stumbled across it by chance having looked it up in the Plan portal. So this car was originally ordered Sept '21 and it's (perhaps) arriving Mar '23... So 18 months? That's just unbelievable.

Mind, it's a hell of a deal and also too good for me to discard. @Mark - are you sure it's only £1200 down for you as the first payment? That sounds like just the Documentation (i.e. broker) fee.. Are you just on a 1 + 35 plan or something? Even then, it's still the £1,200 + your first month, right?

Just noticed our 2 that were showing as 30/11 & 31/12 are now both showing as 28/02/23 !

Don't suppose Plan are all that bothered as they already have their cash.

Yeah I think most of the Plan orders updated last week with the delay to Feb/March next year, not ideal but doesn’t effect me to much so will wait it out.

I’m in the process of exchanging my order for a White one that a fellow forum member cancelled last week, put the vote out to the family and they voted on white so that was that, emailed him Monday to confirm and was told he would email
me the details as well as the Dealer screenshot of the order by the end of the week, not seen anything as yet so next week for the update I guess.

Mine is now showing 31/03 for the Max I've on order.

The thing that gets me a little concerned between watching here and elsewhere... Its been a good while since any form of Max was delivered by the looks of things. The spreadsheet suggests last known delivery of one was November 21. For me though as long as it's here by March (it's still an if at this point obviously) then I'm fine as that would tie in with my current lease ending.

It’s a bit of a concern, almost like they don’t quite know what to do about these extra Max/Tour orders. I still wonder if they are going to reintroduce them into the model mix ready for MY23 which is likely when any factory changes might need to come into effect.

I think most of us plan clients have been assured that these orders have not started and been shelved at all as I think those would have now been completed.

Still awaiting the dealer screenshot mind that would confirm MY23 details along with the spec code changes.

Received my Born today and it's glorious. I know its not an ID3 but it's near enough underneath! It's so smooth and quiet and a great drive.

I'm paying more than I would've with the Plan deal but I just couldn't bear the moving goal post delivery dates. If anyone else gets desperate there are Cupra dealers about with incoming stock.

Until then sit tight as it'll be worth the wait!

Looks good! Would've been the same colour and spec as what I'd have went for if the financials had come in closer to the plan id3's. Enjoy it!

Don't mean this in any kind of disrespectful kind of way, as I like the front of the born, but there is something very Peugeot 206/207ish about its front end!

Anyone know if the order Plan said were being built October & delivered November are likely to happen?

That's what we were told initially but when I log into the account they show as end of April 2023 for delivery!

Mines showing end of March last time I checked, been struggling to get a dealer screenshot of my order out of them, my contact said the dealer wouldn’t provide it which I said was out of order and suspicious, he was going back to them to take it further but is on holiday I think until Monday anyway.

Who is the supplying dealer?

No build date available based on the last update from plan at the start of this month. Also managed to get VW customer services to confirm the same with. Don't believe this to have changed given the limited number of Max's or Tour's that seem to be getting built relative to the likes of life and family models.
