What you wish you'd asked when you picked up your car from the Dealer

Hi All,

I received an e-mail from my dealer informing me that my car has been built and left the factory on the 2nd December.

As an occasional browser and poster on this forum, I've read a lot of posts covering a huge range of thoughts, concerns and issues, perceived or otherwise

My question is, now that you have had your car for a length of time, what questions did you wish you'd asked the dealer when you picked up your car?

How long was the handover and how helpful was the dealer in helping you to initially set up/personalise the car, if they actually did so?

This car will be the most software centric car I have owned and I hope I don't bet bamboozled.

I think you just need to go through every option in every part of the infotainment system to see what you can and can’t do

My dealer gave me the key and said ‘farewell’!
Obviously check the type 2 cable and wheel lock nut and the charge level. I would ask for the bonnet to be popped and check fluid levels.
It would be good for them to demo the infotainment notably the satnav, heating/Demister and the charging screen.

My dealer put the bike rack on for me, then went over the process of removing it before I drove off; that was very helpful.

I asked for the We Connect ID app to be set up, but the servers were down, but on 3.2 it was really very easy.

I took me a few goes to understand that the front of the handle is what locks and the back is what unlocks. If you think you might keep a key in a bag, and you might put that in the boot, ask them to show you how to make the whole car unlock on approach, so you don't lock the key in the boot.

Just know that half the fun is sitting outside your own home going through all the things it can do.

Radio -> Settings -> Arrow Buttons
