I have some damage tp the material on the passenger side front armrest. I sourced and bought a replacement part, which is the whole armrest. I have managed to remove the plastic cover, but I don't know how to undo the fixing inside. It looks like it needs a specialist tool. Any advice how to undo to fit the new armrest.

I'm attaching some pictures.

I think I need one of these. This from a video where someone is replacing the armrest on an id buzz.

Thank you. I guess I will need to buy a set, as there's no way of knowing the exact size I need?

I have bought the M10 spline bit and a handle, but have not been able to undo it. Should it just undo when turned anti-clockwise? It has moved a bit but not much. I assume it is just like a normal bolt? The new arm rest has a hole where the bolt goes. I can't see any other way to undo it.

I have managed it now. Was tough to undo the bolt, and didn't get easier until almost loose. But not too difficult and VW would have charged around £150 just for fitting it. Just for essentially undoing and then putting back one bolt.
