App not working!

Hi,

Same as below, App has stopped bang on 3 year birthday of car.

When I went to the VW store and mucked about a bit, I'm getting a message the 'We Connect Start is In Progress', will they will be in touch soon, is this the new version of the App, is it a case of wait and see?

Great fun this stuff (not)!

A few people on the facebook owner group have had this recently with 3yo cars. Have a look whether you can buy (for free) weconnect and weconnect plus in the in-car shop. Should solve it. I haven't heard of VW actually charging for contracts with an ID model yet.
ID.3 Family Pro Performance (Jan 22). Also an ID.4 Max. Ohme Home Pro charger.

Thanks sidehaas.

Spent two hours going around the shop, site etc trying to find we connect/we connect plus. The only service offered is We Connect Start, and as I said, I've requested that and am getting an 'in progress' notification, and that I will receive an email when the service will begin.

This is the first real snag I've had with the car, and I'm a bit PO at this stage, very confusing site and hard to navigate as a numptie.

So this is turning into a right old faff!

Decided to ring VW and dedicate an hour to this, had to take screeshots of car screen, phone details, give version numbers for phone software, check car connectivity, blah blah blah......

It has now been 'escalated' but the nice lady on the phone admitted it was 'weird' that I couldn't buy (or get for free) another one year or two year App plan.

They will 'get back to me' apparently.

Have you checked the in-car shop? Ie, in the infotainment system? Not the website.

Thanks again Sidehaas.

So it seems contacting the hotline number works.

I was offered a 1 year free extension of the App through my Volkswagen account, was able to do it on the phone and the service returned immediately.

Have to say, apart from the running around trying to figure it all out, kudos to VW for sorting on the basis of a phone call.
