I found this forum today, after reserving an authorized used ID3 at a VW dealership. It’s a fair distance from me and I won’t be able to pick it up until next week, but I am very excited to get my first EV. We have no way to charge this at home but don’t expect to use it a lot (weekend trips mostly).

ID3 is a 71 reg in the Family spec. Very low miles and looks to be in great shape. I’ve asked for a battery report and fresh MOT. Anything else I need to ask ask about before I make the trip? If buying from a dealer is there utility in ordering a carvertical report?

General and specific advice appreciated!

Thanks

Dan

Just make sure its on software V3.2 build 0561 as this will show any battery problems and it should sync with the app correctly. A 71 reg shouldn't need an MOT until September.

Thanks! Well I thought if I can get an MOT thrown in, it saves me from having to get it this year. If it flags something, all the better. I’ll ask about the software build.

Glad you’re enjoying it. Did you get your battery report? How much battery degradation for your car? It would be interesting to know how the batteries are coping.

Glad you are enjoying it! Did you get the Car Vertical report? Dealers often run the HPI check which is kinda the same I guess.
