Good morning,

Does anyone else here on Octopus Go have this issue where Octopus doesn't know where the car is?

Octopus suggest it's the car not communicating with them in its correct location. I seem to fix it by randomly poking in the Charging screen in the car on the Locations tab, but I'm not sure which particular action I am doing that broadcasts an "I'm home" message.

any ideas?

It has nothing to do with your car's location. It just means "car not plugged in" and will change to a more meaningful message on your next app update.

But the car is at home and is plugged in, and at that point is charging as the Hypervolt is set to 'control nothing mode'

When it works on that screen, within 5-10 mins, changes to say 'Smart charging'.

I find the ID3 API to be pretty unreliable. I have a Zappi charger and switched to have Octopus control that rather tan the car. Works perfectly.

Same here. The main issue I have is before a long journey when I charge at home and want to charge to 100%, sometimes the car will reset to max charge of 80% even when I think I have overridden it. I don’t often attempt this and obviously must forget how to override the max setting.

I have never been able to set the charging to 100% from the VW app. Very inconvenient to have to go out to the car and start up infotainment late in the evening because I realise I need a fully charged car for the morning.

You might be using the wrong menu in the app. If you have a home charging location set up, the settings for it are in a different place.
Click departure times, then the name of the location, then the settings cog that appears in the top right corner.

Agreed this particular aspect of the app is completely unintuitive. I see so many people complaining the app doesn't work or doesn't sync and it's usually because of this. VW really should provide some instructions.
