GTX Performance Ordered
Hi All,
I could not see an orders thread so thought I would say hello here.
I have ordered a Moonstone Grey GTX Performance standard black wheels with heat pump, pan roof and removable boot floor(quite why this is an option at £79 is beyond me lol).
No delivery date yet.
I am a a driver of GTI’s (MK1, 3 and 7) and Scirocco GTX, so am looking forward to this delivery.

There was a super long orders thread a couple of years back when they were taking ages to come through, but not really since order timescales got back to normal. I think the GTX looks great and I'm very jealous! Please let us know how it is when you take delivery
ID.3 Family Pro Performance (Jan 22). Also an ID.4 Max. Ohme Home Pro charger.
Welcome, I have to admit the GTX does look good. I may be tempted in 2026 when I'm due to change mine. Had my current one been delivered when it was due then I'd be ordering now lol.
Look forward to seeing pics when you get it delivered.

Yes, I checked the configurator yesterday: the UK only gets the Performance version currently.
The GTX looks . Let us know more about it when you do.

For interest, Battery Life on YouTube now has an ID3 GTX (non performance) press car and just put his first video out with it. I'm sure there will be more coming as he usually does range, charging tests etc. He isn't really in to spirited driving but he spent three years with an ID3 and now has an ID7 so he really knows the cars well, worth keeping an eye out for useful stuff if you are new to ID cars.

Just FYI- there's a fair bit of discussion on the ID3 forum here in Ireland. ID3 GTX performance prices are much lower than what might have been expected. ID3 GTX performance plus quoted here at eur 39k (inclusive of grant etc.). - so cheaper than the standard 77kWh Pro Plus model for example which comes in at eur 43k approx.
I saw someone say that on Facebook, they had ordered one. Seems bonkers. Has it been confirmed not to be a pricing error?Connolly wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 10:43 am Just FYI- there's a fair bit of discussion on the ID3 forum here in Ireland. The brochure/price list was revised in early October but the pricing for the GTX variants remained the same. At this point some orders have been placed and accepted I understand at this price point. No confirmation either way that I've seen.sidehaas wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 11:35 amI saw someone say that on Facebook, they had ordered one. Seems bonkers. I’ve ordered one in Ireland and have the signed contract. The salesman carried on discussions and put the order through the system with no suggestion at any point that the price was anything other than advertised.
I don’t believe something like this is a mistake, especially after it survived the edit of the brochure/pricelist.
There has been some speculation that this is strategic: VW: selling these models at a loss to improve the fleet average to avoid punitive penalties (and sell lots of high-margin luxury ICE cars) under the European Green Deal.
OTOH, Ireland is such a small market, I’m not sure how much sense that explanation makes.
