I was finally able to install 3.7 this afternoon, but have a problem which no one else has reported.

I tried to set the car to "charge at specified times", but it kept reverting to "charge immediately".

I then went to Charging >> Locations and found that my Home location was no longer there and there was a message saying: "This function is not yet available", so I was unable to reinstall it. Just on the off chance that it might do something, I took the car for a three mile drive, but that didn't solve it.

As low mileage users, we still use a granny charger, so we are unable to get round this by using settings on a charger, and I resent using full price electricity as well as the Octopus cheap rate. Has anyone else here experienced this, and is there a workaround?

After the main update, did your car do the secondary update that comes while you are sat in it? I would recommend going through this and seeing if it then works, and if not then perhaps doing an infotainment factory reset via the settings menu (this is not a true factory reset: it doesn't revert the software but it should give it a clean start, you'll need to reset up your charging location and other customised things like radio).

Yes, the car did do the secondary update.

However I had to do a 25 mile round trip this morning, and when I got back, the car had "remembered" my home locatio0n and my preferred charging times, so everything seems OK again.

Thanks for your advice, which I would have taken if it hadn't sorted itself out.

Started the update at about 14:00 yesterday. When I checked this morning, there was an in-car message saying the installation was complete (confirmed by the software version in the infotainment). The last minor update downloaded within a couple of minutes of switching on the car. :)

The only change I've noticed (so far) is a reset of the options menu when you switch off the car: the options that I'd removed had been added back in.

I've got a lot of driving to do next week so I'll see if anything else is different.

I am wondering if anyone can help. I have logged a call with Volkswagen and will call the dealer tomorrow.

Yesterday afternoon, set the over the air update to run. never had a problem before so didnt check anything until this morning when I needed to use the car.

I have the message 'over the air update not complete' observe warning. Vehicle wallet.

I have checked a few basic operations, I cannot get the car to move from PARK, the vehicle wallet states 'data not available'

has anyone had this before? If so, how do I solve this?

thank you

It has come up a few times on the Facebook group. It seems that some cars take a very long time to update. Some people had success eventually just by leaving it - in one case I saw mentioned, for 3 days. There were also some people whose 12V battery had failed, and jump starting the 12V got everything moving again. Other than those options I think you are left with calling VW assist.

thank you.. I will call VW assist first thing tomorrow am. I have had the car for a good while and never experienced it just not working. Reminds me of the days of running out of petrol in the most inconvenient place!

ImageI have the update ready to install, if I switch off sidelights and close the windows.
The sidelights are no problem, but the windows are closed.
I read elsewhere that holding both window switches up for 10sec on front and then rear should reset the windows. I've tried that, but still says I need to close the windows.
There install now button is dim, and can't be activated.
Had anyone else got the same problem?

Hold the window switches longer.

Thanks so I'll give it another try, but I tried holding for about 20 sec, holding down then holding up ( for 20 sec) and with ignition on and ignition off.. no change.

Are you doing all four, and are you doing it while you are in that menu? You could double check the windows are actually fully shutting, there isn't a bit of debris keeping one slightly open or something. Beyond that im not sure.

You opened them and then shut them, and you checked the back and front.
