I went to one of the main UK consumer car parts places for front wipers fitting recently.
They seemed to take ages trying to fit them and at one point went back in the store and got some sort of different fitments for them which I'm not sure came in the same Bosch box that the wipers came from.
I suspect it was a matter of somebody needing to go on a bit more training....
....but is there something peculiar about the fittings for the wipers on the ID3 ?
Difficulty replacing front wipers ?

I bought a set of Bosch Aerotwin Plus replacements for our wipers. They came with four fitting options in the pack. None of these exactly matched the OEM fitting but one of them worked well with a bit of fiddling. Afraid I can't remember any more than that.

Just to close this one in case anybody else has similar issues....
I had missed the bit of the story where the guy at the auto centre spent about 15 minutes trying to 'ram' the wipers on before I asked him to stop and let one of his colleagues have a go. And that subsequently, three weeks later (and thankfully not in the middle of Christmas) one of the new wipers snapped clean off just before I set off out on a journey.
Having visited the auto parts outlet again today and expressed my concern in no uncertain terms it transpires that it is adapter number 4 that should be used to fit the wipers rather than trying to ram them on with adapter number 2.

No boxes left to check I'm afraid, I just looked back at my order history. I expect they're the same or very similar. Glad you've worked out what adaptor to use, shame the guy at your fitting place was useless!Batterdry500 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 12:20 amThanks.
